Baked Fowl Recipe

Serves 5


  • 3 breasts of chicken, pheasant or grouse, split in half
  • 2 cups regular rice
  • 4 cups hot water
  • 2 cans cream of mushrooms soup
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • Parsley


1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
2. Grease roaster pan.
3. Sprinkle 2 cups of dry rice evenly across bottom of roaster.
4. Spoon cream soups over rice.
5. Pour hot water over rice and soup; stir through.
6. Place breast halves on top of mixture; sprinkle parsley over top.
7. Cover; bake in 350 F oven for 3 hours.
