Fish Market Apple Pie Recipe

Serves 8

Ingredients:

    Crust:
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 10 2/3 tbsp butter, unsalted
  • 2/3 tsp salt
  • Water
    Filling:
  • 6 large Mcintosh apples
  • 1 2/3 cups sour cream
  • Egg
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/3 cup flour
    Topping:
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/4 lb butter


Instructions:

1. Combine crust ingredients; roll out in a 10-inch pie pan.
2. Mix filling ingredients together and fill pie shell.
3. Bake at 450 F for 10 minutes.
4. Reduce oven to 350 F and bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
5. Blend topping ingredients and place atop pie.
6. Bake for additional 15 minutes at 350 F. Serve warm.
