Hot Japanese Spinach Salad Recipe

Makes 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fresh spinach, washed and drained
  • 1/2 lb fresh bean sprouts, washed and drained
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp distilled white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp sesame seed, toasted


  • Instructions:

    1. Place spinach and bean sprouts in 2 quart microwave-safe baking dish.
    2. Cover; microwave on High 2 minutes.
    3. Toss vegetables; cover and microwave on High 3 minutes.
    4. Meanwhile, combine sugar, vinegar, soy sauce and sesame seed, stirring until sugar dissolves; pour over vegetables and toss to combine.
