New Fashioned Rhu-Berry Pie Recipe

Serves 8

Wonderful flavor, like inventing a new fruit.

Per Serving: 360 cals, 15 g fat, 15 mg cholestrol

Ingredients:

  • Crust for 2-crust pie
  • 2 cups cut-up rhubarb
  • 2 cups blueberries
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 dash salt


  • Instructions:

    1. Prepare pie crust for 2 crust 9" pie.
    2. Heat oven to 400F.
    3. In large bowl, combine all filling ingredients.
    4. Toss lightly.
    5. Spoon into crust-lined pan.
    6. Top with second crust.
    7. Seal edges and flute.
    8. Cut slits in top crust.
    9. Bake at 400 F for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown.
    10. Cover edge of crust with strips of foil after 15-20 minutes of baking to prevent excessive browning.
