Red Cabbage and Cranberries Recipe
Serves 6 to 8 Ingredients: 1 red cabbage (about 2 pounds), shredded finely
2 cups fresh cranberries
2 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1 cup dry red wine
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 tbsp butter, melted
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Instructions: 1. Put cabbage, cranberries and apples in a large pot.
2. In a small saucepan, combine remaining ingredients and heat to boiling.
3. Pour over cabbage mixture and bring to a boil.
4. Cover and cook over low heat for 30 minutes or until tender. Add a bit of water if necessary as it cooks.
