Traditional Pumpkin Pie Recipe

Serves 8


  • 9-inch unbaked pastry/pie shell
  • 2 cups pumpkin
  • 1 14-oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt


1. Preheat oven to 425 F.
2. In large mixer bowl, combine all ingredients except pastry shell; mix well.
3. Pour into pastry shell.
4. Bake for 15 minutes.
5. Reduce oven temperature to 350 F, continue baking for 35 to 40 minutes or until knife inserted 1 inch from edge comes out clean.
6. Cool.
7. Garnish as desired.
8. Refrigerate leftovers.
