Yellow Split Pea Soup Recipe
Instructions:1. Place split peas in a saucepan with the water.
2. Cover and bring to a boil.
3. Lower heat and simmer very slowly, partially covered, until soft, 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
4. Melt butter in a large skillet.
5. Add garlic, cumin, mustard seeds, turmeric, and cinnamon.
6. Cook, stirring, over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes.
7. Add to cooked peas and stir until everything is well mixed.
8. Add salt and peppers.
