Olive Sauce Recipe

Makes 1 cup


  • 2 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 2 tbsp all-pourpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup sliced pimiento, stuffed
  • Green olives


1. Melt butter in a 1-quart glass measuring pitcher in microwave oven, about 30 seconds on high.
2. Add flour and blend to a smooth paste.
3. Add milk gradually, stirring constantly.
4. Cook uncovered in microwave oven for 4 minutes at high, or until thickened; stir vigorously after 2 minutes, then every 30 seconds.
