Caesar Salad Recipe
Serves 4 Ingredients: 1 garlic clove, sliced
1/2 cup olive oil
1 cup French bread, cubed
2 bn romaine lettuce
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp dry mustard
Black pepper
5 anchovies, mashed
3 ds Worcestershire sauce
3 tbsp wine vinegar
1 egg
1 lemon, juiced
3 tbsp Parmesan cheese
Instructions: 1. Steep garlic in 1/2 cup olive oil for 24 hours.
2. Saute French bread cubes in 2 tablespoons of garlic oil from above.
3. Wash and dry Romaine and break into 2-inch lengths.
4. Place the romaine in a salad bowl and sprinkle over it the salt, dry mustard, and generous grating of black pepper.
5. Add anchovy paste, and a few drops of Worcestershire sauce.
6. Add the wine vinegar and remaining 6 tablespoons of garlic oil.
7. Drop the egg from the shell onto the ingredients in bowl.
8. Squeeze lemon juice over salad and toss.
9. Add Parmesan cheese and serve.
