Dutch Leek Soup Recipe
Serves 8 Ingredients: 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
2 cubes bouillon
2 qts water
1 cup milk
1/8 tsp ground mace
5 leeks, cleaned, chopped
1/4 cup whipping cream
2 cups shredded Edam or Gouda cheese
Instructions: 1. Blend together flour, bouillon cubes and water.
2. Stir in milk and mace.
3. Bring to a boil; immediately reduce heat to simmer; simmer for 10 minutes.
4. Add leeks and cream; simmer for 10 minutes.
5. Serve cheese with soup at the table.
