Garlic Soup Recipe
Serves 4 to 6 Ingredients: 3 cloves garlic, crushed
2 tsp vegetable oil
2 white bread slices, cut into small pieces
4 cup chicken broth
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 egg, large, slightly beaten
Instructions: 1. Cook and stir garlic in oil in a 3-quart saucepan until brown.
2. Stir in bread; cook and stir until light brown.
3. Stir in broth, salt and pepper.
4. Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
5. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
6. Stir at least half of the hot mixture gradually into egg.
7. Stir back into hot mixture in saucepan.
8. Boil and stir 1 minute.
9. Sprinkle with snipped parsley, if desired.
