Curry Gravy Recipe

Serves 1


  • 2 oz onion
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • Sprig curry leaves
  • 1 2/3 cups coconut milk
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 3 tsp lime juice


1. Make the gravy by chopping the onion, then heat the oil and stir fry onion and curry leaves for 2 minutes.
2. Add the coconut milk, chilli powder, paprika powder, salt, turmeric and curry powder and cook gently, stirring occasionally, until the gravy thickens.
3. Remove from the heat.
4. Sprinkle with the lime juice.
