Cream of Curried Corn Soup Recipe

Serves 6


  • 4 cup corn kernels
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp curry powder, or to taste
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 cup chicken stock
  • 2 cup half and half
  • Popcorn


1. Saute corn kernels and a chopped onion in butter, stirring frequently, until corn is tender and onion is transluscent.
2. Stir in flour, curry powder, salt and pepper and cook, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes.
3. Stir in chicken stock and half and half and cook until mixture comes to a boil and thickens slightly.
4. Process in batches in food processor or blender until smooth.
5. Garnish with popcorn.
