Corn On the Cob For Mongolian Barbecue Recipe

Serves 6


  • 6 ears corn
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1 tsp rice wine or dry sherry


1. In a large pot, bring about 2 quarts water to a boil.
2. Meanwhile, shuck corn.
3. Cook corn in boiling water for 5 minutes if picked that day or for 10 minutes if picked earlier.
4. Drain.
5. Melt butter.
6. Add sugar, salt and rice wine or dry sherry.
7. Spoon over hot corn and serve.
