Corn Fritters Recipe
Instructions:1. Mix and sift the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
2. Beat the egg, melted shortening and milk together with a rotary egg beater.
3. Add the corn and combine with the dry ingredients, mixing well.
4. Drop by spoonfuls into deep oil (365 F) and fry for 3 to 5 minutes, or until golden brown.
5. Drain on paper.
6. Serve hot as a vegetable, or with maple or corn syrup.
