Corn Fritters Recipe

Serves 6 to 8


  • Vegetable oil
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 16 oz can whole kernel corn, drained


1. Heat oil (3 to 4 inches) in Dutch oven to 375 F.
2. Mix remaining ingredients except corn with hand beater until smooth.
3. Stir in corn.
4. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls into hot oil.
5. Fry for about 5 minutes or until deep golden brown; drain on paper towels.
6. Serve with maple syrup if desired.
