Dutch Slaw Recipe

Serves 4 to 6



Ingredients:

  • 1 cabbage
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 dash pepper


  • Instructions:

    1. Shred cabbage rather fine.
    2. Put in sauce pan and sprinkle with salt.
    3. Cover pan and place over a low flame and steam until very tender.
    4. Beat the egg, add the sugar, salt, pepper and vinegar and pour over the steamed cabbage.
    5. Heat for 5 minutes.
    6. Serve at once.
