Dutch Slaw Recipe
Serves 12 Ingredients: 3 lb cabbage, shredded
1 onion, finely chopped
2 green peppers, chopped
1 cup sugar
1 cup salad oil
1 cup vinegar
1 tsp dry mustard
2 tsp celery seed
1 tsp salt
Instructions: 1. Mix cabbage, onion, green peppers and stir in sugar and let stand.
2. Meanwhile, heat over medium heat, oil, vinegar, mustard, celery seed and salt.
3. Bring to a boil and then pour this hot mixture over the cabbage.
4. Chill for a least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
5. Will stay crisp for a couple of weeks.
