Sour Cream Waffles Recipe

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp and 1 1/2 tsp sugar, separate
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup and 2 tbsp sweet butter, separate, melted


Instructions:

1. Sift together all dry ingredients.
2. In a separate bowl, beat together the egg yolks, sour cream, milk and melted butter (or oil).
3. Add to the dry mix.
4. Mix together thoroughly.
5. Beat egg whites until stiff, and fold in completely.
6. Bake in preheated waffle iron.
