Tarama Salat (Fish Roe Spread) Recipe

Serves 2

This is great with pita bread.

Ingredients:

  • 10 1/2 oz smoked fish roe, tainha
  • 2 to 3 slices white bread, crusts removed
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • Salt
  • Juice of 1 lime


Instructions:

1. Soak bread in water.
2. Squeeze water out.
3. Remove skin from roe.
4. Process bread and roe.
5. Start adding alternately oil and lime juice while processing to a paste.
6. Check salt.
7. Serve topped with olive oil, black olives, chopped onion and chopped parsley.
