Halibut in Creamy Wine Sauce Recipe
Serves 6 Ingredients: 2 12-oz pkgs frozen halibut steaks, thawed
2 tbsp flour
1 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup butter
1/3 cup dry white wine
2/3 cup milk or half and half
Lemon wedges
Instructions: 1. Pat halibut steaks dry; place in crock-pot.
2. Combine flour, sugar and salt.
3. In saucepan, melt butter; stir in flour mixture.
4. When well blended, add wine a nd milk and cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
5. Allow sauce to boil 1 minutes while stirring.
6. Pour sauce over fish.
7. Cover and cook on high 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
8. Transfer halibut to serving platter; garnish with lemon.
