Cod Fish Cakes Recipe

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb salt cod fish
  • 6 potatoes
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp pepper


Instructions:

1. Soak codfish over night.
2. In morning pour off water and add fresh, put on heat and bring to boil, pour off water and put fresh on if need be, (test fish for saltness).
3. If OK, mix with the boiled mashed potatoes, egg and onion.
4. Make into cakes and fry in oil and margarine.
