Cod Baked in Sour Cream Recipe

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 2 lb cod, cut in serving pieces
  • 1/2 pint sour cream
  • 3 shallots, minced
  • 1 lb mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 oz grated Parmesan
  • 1 tbsp dill
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • Seasoned flour (salt, pepper, paprika, wheat germ and sunflower seed)
  • Bread crumbs


  • Instructions:

    1. Saute shallots, then saute mushrooms.
    2. Remove from heat, add dill and parsley; reserve.
    3. Rinse fish; pat dry and dust with seasoned flour.
    4. Arrange 1/2 mushrooms on bottom of buttered baking dish, cover with fish and top with mushrooms.
    5. Sprinkle on grated cheese; spoon on sour cream.
    6. Top with bread crumbs, dot with butter.
    7. Bake in 375 degrees oven for 20 minutes.
