Bayou Catfish Balls Recipe

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 2 lb catfish fillets
  • 1 tsp hot sauce
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • 3 eggs (beaten)
  • 1 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • Cooking oil


  • Instructions:

    1. Rub fish with hot sauce, salt and pepper.
    2. Set aside for 1 hour or more.
    3. Cut fish into bite-size pieces and dip into eggs. Roll in cornmeal.
    4. Fry quickly in deep fat for 2 or 3 minutes, or until golden brown. Drain.
    5. Serve hot.
