7-Minute Boiled Crawfish Recipe

Serves 100 (one hundred)


  • 50 lb crawfish, live
  • 2 ice cream salt, boxes
  • 4 oz liquid crab boil
  • 3 large stirring spoons cayenne
  • 6 bay leaves, whole
  • 6 celery, ribs
  • 4 onions, medium
  • 3 lemons or 1 tsp lemon oil
  • 8 oz honey
  • 3 oranges, halved


1. Fill a 60 qt pot 1/2 full.
2. Add all ingredients except crawfish and bring to a boil.
3. Add crawfish.
4. When it boils agains, time for 7 minutes.
5. Remove from fire, add one bucket cold water.
6. Let it soak for one hour.
