Clam Fritters Recipe

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 pint clams
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 3/4 cup flour, all-purpose
  • 1 tsp parsley, chopped
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tsp onion, grated


  • Instructions:

    1. Drain clams and chop.
    2. Combine dry ingredients.
    3. Combine eggs, milk, onion, butter, and clams.
    4. Combine with dry ingredients and stir until smooth.
    5. Drop batter by using teaspoonsful into hot shortening at 350 degreesand fry for 3 minutes, or until golden brown.
    6. Drain on absorbent paper.
