Pecan Pie Recipe

Serves 8

Ingredients:

  • 1 pastry for 9-inch pie
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1 cup sugar, brown
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup pecans, halved or pieces


Instructions:

1. Precook 9-inch pastry shell for 5 minutes at 425 F.
2. Turn down oven to 350 F.
3. Cream butter and sugar, add syrup, eggs and vanilla.
4. Mix well, then add pecans.
5. Pour into prepared crust and bake in 350 F oven until filling is firm, about 40 to 50 minutes.
6. Cool before cutting.
