Irresistible Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe

Makes 36 cookies

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup Crisco shortening
  • 1 1/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda

    • Instructions:

    1. Preheat oven to 375 F.
    2. Combine peanut butter, Crisco, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl.
    3. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended.
    4. Add egg; beat just until blended.
    5. Combine flour, salt and baking soda.
    6. Add to creamed mixture at low speed.
    7. Mix just until blended.
    8. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
    9. Flatten slightly in crisscross pattern with tines of fork.
    10. Bake at 375 F for 7 to 8 minutes or until set and just beginning to brown.
    11. Cool for 2 minutes on cookie sheet.
    12. Remove cookies to wire rack to cool completely.
