Japanese Fruit Pie Recipe

Serves 6 to 8

Ingredients:

  • 1 cube margarine, melted, cooled
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped dates
  • 1/2 cup coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 unbaked pie shell


  • Instructions:

    1. Combine margarine, sugar, eggs, vinegar and vanilla in bowl.
    2. Mix well.
    3. Stir in dates, coconut and nuts.
    4. Pour into pie shell.
    5. Bake in 300 F oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until brown.
