Ice Box Cookies Recipe

Makes 60 cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp soda
  • 1 cup nuts, finely chopped

    • Instructions:

    1. Mix well in order given one at a time.
    2. Press and shape dough into three loaves, about 2 inches square and 5 inches long on sheets of waxed paper.
    3. Wrap tightly in waxed paper and put in refrigerator.
    4. Chill at least 2 hours.
    5. To bake cut chilled loaf in thin slices.
    6. Place one inch apart on ungreased baking sheet.
    7. Bake 375F for 10-12 minutes.
