Chinese Chicken Leg with Noodles Recipe

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Chinese noodles
  • 1 lb chicken leg
  • 8 cups chicken stock or water
  • 1 cup starch powder or breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Greens, according to taste (for garnish)
  • Vegetable oil


  • Instructions:

    1. Mix the chicken leg with salt, soy sauce and black pepper and let stand for 30 mins.
    2. Whisk the flour and egg yolk together and pour over the chicken. Roll in starch powder or breadcrumbs to coat.
    3. Fry the leg until golden.
    4. Boil the noodles in chicken stock or water with a little salt add greens at the last 4 mins.
    5. Serve leg over the noodles and greens.
