Remove chicken meat from bones; chop chicken. 8. Add meat to broth; simmer. In the meanwhile, prepare spatzle. Spatzle: 9. Stir together flour and salt in a small bowl. 10. Blend egg and milk; stir into the flour mixture. 11. Place half the dough in a strainer. 12. Hold over soup kettle. 13. With rubber spatula press dough through the strainer to form spatzel. 14. Repeat with remaining dough. 15. Add spatzle to broth. Cook and stir 5 minutes. 16. Ladle into bowls. |
