Anise Chicken Recipe

Serves 2


  • 2 cup chicken broth
  • 4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp anise seeds
  • 1 tsp Chinese 5 spice powder
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 1/2 lb chicken tenders
  • 1/2 tbsp sesame oil


1. Cut chicken into 1-inch chunks, and fry in sesame oil over high heat, until no longer transparent.
2. Add chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, anise, Chinese 5 spice, and rice.
3. Bring to a boil, and then lower heat.
4. Cook over medium heat until liquid is all absorbed.
