Dutch Oven Beef Buns Recipe
Serves 8 Ingredients: 4 cup cooked beef strips, 2 x 1/4"
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup butter or regular margarine
1/4 cup sugar
2 medium onions, thinly sliced
2 slice lemon
2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
4 tsp prepared mustard
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup water
8 hamburger buns
Instructions: 1. Combine all of the ingredients, except the hamburger buns, in a 4-quart Dutch oven.
2. Cook over high heat until the mixture comes to a boil.
3. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 25 minutes or until the mixture thickens.
4. Remove the lemon slices.
5. Pour into a container, cover and refrigerate.
6. Warm over medium heat and serve in the hamburger buns.
