Mint Chutney Recipe

Makes 6 cups

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ripe tomatoes
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 12 small onions
  • 1 1/3 cup seeded raisins
  • 2 tsp dry mustard
  • 1 lb tart apples
  • 3 large sweet peppers
  • 1/2 cup chopped mint leaves
  • 3 cup vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt


Instructions:

1. Scald and peel tomatoes.
2. Chop vegetables and fruit.
3. Add mint.
4. Scald and cool vinegar.
5. Add mustard, salt, and sugar.
6. Combine with chopped ingredients.
7. Mix until well blended.
8. Let stand 10 days, stirring occasionally.
