1. Cream butter; add sugar, and cream until smooth.
2. Add molasses.
3. Sift flour with ginger, soda and salt.
4. Add to first mixture.
5. Form into balls the size of a small walnut.
6. Place on greased cookie sheets.
7. Flatten with the back of a tablespoon.
8. Bake at 375 degrees about 10 minutes.
