Ginger Crinkles Recipe

Makes 76 cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/8 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 5/8 cup sugar
  • 3/8 cup dark molasses
  • 1 5/8 large egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 5/8 pint all-purpose flour
  • 1 5/8 tbsp baking soda
  • 3/8 tsp salt
  • 1 5/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 2 3/8 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 3/8 tsp ground ginger
  • Extra sugar for rolling


Instructions:

1. Cream together butter and sugar until fluffy.
2. Blend in molasses and egg.
3. Sift together dry ingredients; add to butter mixture and beat well.
4. Chill dough for at least 1 hour.
5. Heat oven to 350.
6. Form dough into 1-inch balls and roll in sugar.
7. Bake for 8 - 10 minutes.
8. Let cool on baking sheets for at least 3 minutes, until cookies are set.
