Wholesome Whole Wheat Pizza Dough Recipe

Makes 2 crusts

Ingredients:

  • 2 cup white flour (approx)
  • 1 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup white flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tbsp salad oil
  • Set for 10 min:
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup lukewarm water
  • 1 package yeast



  • Instructions:

    1. Set yeast in 1 ts sugar and 1/2 c lukewarm water for 10 min.
    2. Heat 1 1/2 c of water and 2 tbsp salad oil until warm; stir in yeast.
    3. Mix whole wheat flour, first amount of white flour, and salt in bowl.
    4. Stir in yeast mixture.
    5. Knead for 5 minutes with the extra white flour.
    6. Place in greased bowl and let rise for 45 minutes (covered).
    7. Divide in two and roll out.
    8. Add toppings and bake at 450 F for 20 min.
