Whole Wheat Muffins Recipe

Makes 12 muffins

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup raisins
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 cup lt brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup melted vegetable shortening


Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Grease and flour 18 muffin cups.
3. Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
4. Add brown sugar, nuts and raisins.
5. Combine milk and eggs.
6. Mix in shortening and blend well.
7. Stir into dry ingredients just until moist.
8. Fill muffin cups a little more than half full.
9. Bake 15-20 minutes.
