Oven-Baked Wheat Pancakes Recipe

Serves 4 to 6

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups buttermilk, sour milk, or orange juice
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cups whole-wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted


  • Instructions:

    1. Preheat oven to 450 F.
    2. Butter 2 large baking sheets, and place in oven.
    3. Combine all ingredients. Do not overmix; the batter should be lumpy.
    4. Ladle pancakes onto hot baking sheets.
    5. Bake for 10 minutes without turning over pancakes.
