Tropical Oatmeal Cookies Recipe

Makes 36 cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup crushed pineapple
  • 1 1/2 cups oatmeal
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup nuts, chopped
  • 1 cup flour, sifted
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

    • Instructions:

    1. Mix all ingredients together well.
    2. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet.
    3. Bake 375 F about 15 minutes.
