Oatmeal Waffles Recipe

Makes 12 waffles

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup quick cooking rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 6 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups milk

Special Equipment: Waffle Iron


Instructions:

1. In a large bowl stir together flour, oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
2. In a small bowl stir together eggs, milk, butter, and brown sugar.
3. Add liquids to flour-oats mix, stir until well blended.
4. Pour onto preheated, lightly greased waffle iron.
5. Close lid and cook to desired doneness.
6. Use a fork to remove waffle from the iron.
7. Serve with jams, honey, yogurt or syrup.
