Oatmeal Muffins (Crouse) Recipe

Makes 14 muffins

Ingredients:

  • 2 cup oatmeal
  • 1 1/2 cup sour milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp shortening
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda


Instructions:

1. Soak oatmeal in sour milk overnight.
2. In morning add the other ingredients.
3. Chopped dates or raisins may be added.
4. Bake 25 minutes at 425 F.
