Lace Cookies Recipe

Makes 48 cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, soft
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cup quaker oats, uncooked, (quick or old-fashioned)


  • Instructions:

    1. Beat butter and sugar together until creamy.
    2. Blend in flour, salt, milk and vanilla.
    3. Stir in oats.
    4. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cooky sheets, about 2 inches apart.
    5. Bake in preheated moderate oven (350 F) about 8 minutes.
    6. Cool 2 to 3 minutes, then carefully remove cookies from cooky sheets with wide spatula. Cookies will be very thin and lacy.
