Cherry Pineapple Kugel Recipe

Serves 12

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 margarine, melted
  • 16 oz wide noodles, cooked
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 20 oz canned crushed pineapple in juice, drained
  • 20 oz canned cherry pie filling, or 1 10-oz jar apricot preserves
    Topping:
  • 1 cup corn flakes, lightly crushed
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon


  • Instructions:

    1. Lightly grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
    2. Preheat oven to 350 F.
    3. In a large mixing bowl, combine melted margarine with noodles; toss well to coat.
    4. Add eggs, sugar, vanilla and pineapple; mixing well.
    5. Pour 1/2 noodle mixture into prepared dish.
    6. Spread with either cherry pie filling or apricot preserves.
    7. Cover with remaining noodle mixture.
    8. Lightly crush corn flakes and combine with sugar and cinnamon.
    9. Sprinkle over top of kugel.
    10. Dot with margarine.
    11. Bake for 40 minutes or until golden.
