Honey-Kissed Pears Recipe
Serves 2 Ingredients: 16 oz canned pear halves, in own juice, or syrup
1 cinnamon stick
1/2 tsp grated orange peel
1 tbsp raisins, or substitute dried cranberries
1 tbsp brandy (optional)
1/4 cup honey
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions: 1. Drain pear halves and set aside, reserving liquid.
2. Place pear liquid in small saucepan; add cinnamon stick and orange peel.
3. Bring mixture to a boil over medium heat.
4. Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, or until liquid is reduced to 1/4 cup.
5. Stir in raisins and brandy, if desired; simmer 1 minute more.
6. Remove from heat; stir in honey and vanilla.
7. Let cool.
8. Remove cinnamon stick.
9. To serve, divide pears between serving plates and spoon honey glaze over pears.
