Papaya Chutney Recipe
Makes 1 1/4 cups Ingredients: 1 medium ripe papaya (about 1 lb)
1/4 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tbsp honey
2 tsp grated gingerroot or 3/4 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp chili powder
1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions: 1. Pare papaya.
2. Cut papaya in half and scoop out centers.
3. Chop papaya finely.
4. Heat all ingredients to boiling in 10-inch skillet; reduce heat.
5. Cover and simmer for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
6. Serve warm or cold.
