Orange Freeze Pie Recipe

Serves 8

Ingredients:

  • 1 deep dish pie shell, baked
  • 1 pk (3 oz) orange-flavor gelatin
  • 2/3 cup boiling orange juice
  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream, softened
  • 1 cup (11 oz) mandarin orange, drained
  • 1 cup whipped topping,thawed


  • Instructions:

    1. Dissolve gelatin in boiling orange juice.
    2. Add ice cream by spoonfuls, blending until dissolved.
    3. Chill until slightly thickened.
    4. Stir in mandarin oranges.
    5. Fold in whipped topping.
    6. Pour into pie shell.
    7. Freeze until firm, about 2 hours.
    8. Remove from freezer 15 minutes before serving.
