Burnt Grapes Recipe

Serves 6

The caramel sauce gets hard and crunchy and is a lovely contrast to the creamy fruit mixture.

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 cups seedless red or green grapes (or substitute fresh raspberries, blackberries, sliced peaches, etc.)
  • 2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar


  • Instructions:

    1. Wash and dry grapes.
    2. Mix sour cream, sugar and vanilla together.
    3. Pour cream mixture over grapes and stir gently.
    4. Pour into a 9x13 pan, or individual serving dishes.
    5. In a saucepan, bring butter and brown sugar to a boil. Immediately pour over grapes. Don't stir.
    6. Chill for 3-4 hours.
