Big Boy Strawberry Pie Recipe
Serves 6 ot 8
Ingredients: 1 baked pie shell (deep dish)
4 cups strawberries, cleaned and hulled
1 cup sugar
3 tbsp cornstarch
1 cup water
1/2 cup water
1 package strawberry gelatin
Instructions: 1. Combine sugar and 1 cup water in a saucepan; bring to boil.
2. Stir in paste of cornstarch and 1/2 cup water.
3. Boil gently until clear and thick.
4. Stir in strawberry gelatin.
5. Cool a little.
6. Either arrange strawberries in shell and pour cooled mixture over all, or FOLD strawberries into cooled mixture and pour all into pie shell. If you like, you can substitute raspberries and raspberry jello instead.
7. Chill and serve with whipped cream.
